NEXT MEETING
Wednesday
November 12, 2008

*7:30PM*
Audubon Park Fire Hall

Halloween Party quite a hit!

The October 2008 meeting was moved to Wednesday evening, October 22, 2008 to have a date closer to Halloween so that it would be easier for the children to come in costume.

Needless to say, the event was quite well attended, and the food was excellent! Chef Kim and her assistant, Rudy, did a great job with not only the food, but with the scary decorations inside the hall. Thanks to both!

 50/50 Raffle

Chairman William Condon has agreed once again to run the only fund raiser the organization has, the 50/50 Raffle. Proceeds from this raffle directly benefit the Death Benefit Fund, which is paid to a member’s family when he or she passes away. It is truly a worthy cause, and when our members are most in need of support, this benefit has proved to be most helpful. Call Chairman Condon at 856-854-4787 for tickets.

2009 Dues are due!

Financial Secretary Albert Profico has sent out 2009 dues statements. You should have received them already. If you want to make sure you are all caught up, may we suggest you contact the source, Chief Albert Profico? He can be reached at (609) 268-1931.

 Christmas Party-

President Ronald Frumento has again appointed the Christmas Party Committee, and the invitations are included in this meeting notice. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Officer Kirk Earney at (856) 854-1176 Ext. 4134.  More will be discussed this coming Wednesday evening!

Cavallo Named Chief of Haddon Township Police

Haddon Township’s Acting Chief of Police Mark Cavallo was officially named by the town commissioners as chief, effective August 1.

Cavallo succeeds Joe Gallagher whose tenure technically ends on July 31 though he has been working in Winslow Township since the end of last year. Gallagher used banked vacation and sick time to extend his official tenure through the end of this month.
A number of officers turned out to congratulate Cavallo along with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Mark Raivetz and two school board members. Cavallo is a longtime school board member and the current board president. More >>>
